How to Style Wide Leg Denim Overalls

Hey Yall,

It’s officially Spring and that means it’s time to bust out the overalls. You can style this classic piece of apparel for a casual yet chic look. I’m all here for a cute and comfy outfit, so needless to say I’m a bit obsessed with the overall trend and I think it’s here to stay for a while.

Overalls Outfit For Spring

You can find a classic pair almost anywhere for an affordable price. I got this cute pair at Target last year from their Universal Thread line. I love that these have a wide leg and frayed edges for a chic look. My favorite detail on these overalls is the criss-cross open back. Seriously, how cute is this?! I styled the loose fabric by tying it in a cute bow.

Style Overalls With An Off-The-Shoulder Top

I love wearing OTS tops during the Spring and Summer. They style perfectly with almost any bottom and look just as stylish with overalls. Since this pair has a dramatic open back, I styled it with a basic white OTS top so it wouldn’t take away from the style.

Here are a few similar OTS white top options

Off the shoulder crop top $9.90

Eyelet lace crop top $17.90

Floral eyelet off the shoulder crop top $18

Ruffle off the shoulder crop $19.90

The Accessories

I styled these with a comfy pair of Kelly & Katie brown sandals from DSW. This look is perfect for grabbing brunch or going out on the town with your girls. I have trouble finding sandals that fit my narrow feet without hurting, but these are a steal!

Similar brown sandals from Target $24.99

I also wore a classic pair of sunnies (if you’ve been here for a while, you know I love my sunnies!) And a bright mint handbag for a pop of color.

RayBan round sunnies $178

Look for less sunnies from Target $10

Overalls are so versatile! If you want to go for more of a casual look, ditch the OTS crop top and style with a fitted tee. Depending on the weather, a short or long sleeve will look cute in any color. I have also styled this pair with a fitted white bodysuit and white tennis shoes. Cute and comfy for the win!

I hope this gave you inspiration for your next overall outfit! Let me know what you would like to see me style next!

*Please excuse the annoying black strap in these photos. My photog and I didn’t catch it, but I still love these photos regardless.
